Hello,
My name is Ditte Østergaard. I’m a Danish illustrator and visual artist based in my favourite city, Berlin. I graduated in fine arts from Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in 2021 with my work Urbs: a collection of 200 drawings of the city under lockdown. During my many walks through Berlin and Amsterdam I developed several drawing excersises and ways to use the city as my model, but drawing has been a great part of my life as long as I remember. To me drawing is a way to play, and I always have pen and paper with me. I can draw everything, because a drawing is not supposed to be a copy of reality. It has its own life.
